Obama Pepsi

I noticed a Barack Obama supporter with an ad banner on her blog. and the first thing I saw was that the senator has a logo. I can't recall the last time I've ever seen a politician with his/her own logo, other than a certain style of letters they use on many of their campaign signs. Then I noticed that it reminded me of something. Pepsi, that is. Obama's logo looks like something Pepsi would have come up with. The actual Barack ad is on the bottom and a version I made with a replacement Pepsi logo is on the top.

Then I did a search and found this blog entry about Obama's Pepsi logo. No luck finding much on Ron Paul and Dr. Pepper, or Bill Richardson and Yoohoo.

I see that Pepsi's current slogan is "Your World Your Pepsi". Not a very good one. I think it is better suited to a cell phone company. Nothing really can match Coca Cola's "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing". There's a good campaign song for you, Obama.

It actually looks like every logo I've seen for a non-profit that a college design student made. They're always round and have some kind of central curve. You see this especially in agricultural or environmental programs. Probably because said college student was drinking pepsi at the time or it's there in the back of their brain.

There is a slight similarity.

I agree with Happyflapjacks it's very npo. Will.i.am made an Obama song called "Yes We Can" it looks like a Gap ad gone wrong.

It reminds me of those cheap mints you can buy in bulk at the grocery store. The red and white stripes look like candy.

Hello? What about our current president's dubya logo?

btw, I saw it redone as a bumper sticker for warcriminal.us

Here's a clever take on the "great hope" aspect some would dub O:

Actually, it is the first time I have seen that one. More commonly, I have seen a blue "W" swept to one side, on a white background. And Bush used other logos during his campaigns too. Other types of W logos, and other name-logo signs. Similar to what all candidates do.

But nothing like Obama's one logo used in everything.
