I figured I'd go through some of my antique postcard collection and present some of them here. This is Heffron Hall of St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota. It was built in 1921, and is currently a dormitory as part of a small Catholic university. The postcard is from the 1920s or 1930s.
It has its own Wikipedia entry:
"The story of the Heffron Hall ghost is layered with anecdotal urban legends, like the skins on an over-ripe onion. However, when you peel away all of the embellishments you find two incidents at the heart of the tale that are historically accurate. The legend was born on the morning of August 27th, 1915, when Father Louis Lesches attempted to assassinate Bishop Patrick Heffron while the Bishop was celebrating Mass in his private chapel on the second floor of St. Mary’s Hall. The tale officially came of age, and transformed into: The Ghost of Heffron Hall when Father Edward W. Lynch’s charred body was found in his bed on the third floor of St. Mary’s Hall Friday morning, May 15th, 1931."
"Strange USA" has some information about the colds spots, blurred photos, and sounds that have been reported and have been connected with the haunting by the ghost of Father Lynch.

This sounds familiar, I think I read about this in "Haunted Heartland". There's something very spooky about haunted schools and dormitories.
I've never been in this building, but I have seen it many times (probably visible from my front lawn from where I used to live)
That's pretty cool...If not creepy and scary too.
The only thing better than a ghost story is? Two ghost stories!
That building just looks creepy to me....
