The Pharaoh of Grawn

Grawn, Michigan is known for its many trailer houses. There's more too it, of course, such as cherries and minor-league baseball but there are many mobile homes.

If an Egyptian pharaoh lived in Grawn, he might live in a mobile home, right? Well, I could not help but take this photo yesterday morning when I drove by this yard in Grawn. This homeowner actually has built a large Egyptian pyramid out of plywood, and it is in their front yard. It is surrounded by a wooden fence, probably to keep out tomb raiders.

This gives hope to those of us who have dreamed of building a Pylon in their back yard.

My son once built a miniature Stonehenge in our yard, each stone a couple of feet high. Looked like something off "Spinal Tap."

Hahahaha People are so creative.

Hey... good luck building your Pylon. I'd like to build a full sized working windmill.

You never know what will turn up in a backyard.

I bet they sit around in there collecting energy. That family will be ruling all of Grawn one of these days :-)

There is a war, in progress, in cyberspace, especially in the blogosphere between the political left and the political right. This is a war, which will last well into the future. The Right wants to participate in the blogosphere, and the Left wants to control it.

I support staying away from the liberal bloggers blogs that disrespect republicans.
I’m no shrink, but I believe a shrink would say this is a manifestation of the self-hate and impotency of the political left.

Long: Do you support, then, the idea of hiding deep inside a pyramid until it blows over?

well - i wonder what they keep under that pyramid - back in the day they sold pyramids (small and plastic) that you could keep your razors under to keep them sharp. there mist be something in there - hence the fence.
