The first photo is one I took a couple of years ago, in January I think, of cars driving on the highway around the bay. I've doctored it only a little bit.
The Dairy Lodge on Division Street is closed during the winter, but it was open yesterday, of course. The Santa Claus Barbie-type character looks like she is having fun riding that ice-cream cone, doesn't she? And yes, there is an igloo behind her.
Leone's Frosty Treat has been near Thirlby Field stadium for decades. I took a picture of it yesterday, and then found I had an older one of it with snow on the ground. More wintery that way. One thing they have now that they did ont have decades ago is "Free Wifi".

I'd have fun riding that too! What? I'm talking about the Walkers. Now that's how we could pay for obamacare... Walker clunkers for cash.
You added more snow in that first picture, right? Other than that, it look completely normal to me.
Closed ice cream shops are always a good sign of WINTER. I guess everybody has free Wi-Fi these days. I provide it at my house, but you have to guess the 63-digit shared key.
I liked the one with the cars driving and the Star Wars nasties in it as well.
AT-Ats! I love At-ats. You have brave drivers in Michigan!
Barbie does look happy! (And I have a thought that I have too much respect for you to print on that one!)
This one is a real hoot dmarks! Great winter post and it was a great word.
So... who did you tag?
That Dairy Lodge one is kust a wee bit creepy.
I thought MY commute was rough....
I have driven by that Santa Barbie many times, but in winter when they are closed. I go up there to service the heart lung machines at Munson.
My fave in TC is the Mackinaw Brewing company. I have a membership there. You will see my name on the brass plate on one one the pillars that are between the bar and dining area.
Love your doctored pic the best. Very funny.
Truly a glimpse of your winter wonderland over there in Michigan :-) It was fun having Winter in August.
Who are you tagging? Hm?
you are so good a photo doctoring! is that a PhD or an MD degree?
with regard to your photo doctoring, I think the surgery was a success and the patient will live.
