The card is postmarked July 19, 1983, and on the back it reads:"Dear Mert,
Twelve of us biked around the island yesterday. Met Betty Phillips, sister & family. Sure is hot. but fun. Today we'll visit the town. swim, and take it easy. Then to the cottage tomorrow.

The island referred to is Mackinac Island. The bridge passes near it, but does not connect to it at all.

That was written three days after I turned 18.
It is stunning at night. Almost like Christmas.
I enjoy reading the postcard comments very much. I find that I want to know more... or perhaps make up a story to go with it. What's at the cottage? Why are they going? Mysteries.
I think it looks pretty during the day too...but almost everything looks better at night :-)
Beautiful night time picture. As for the comments, why did they wait so long to go to the cottage?
