My Grandpa the Drummer

I keep finding these old photos! This ancient photo is of the Leeton Band (probably Missouri). I already mentioned that I recently found out that my grandfather was a policeman. In this photo, I find out that he was also the bass drummer (left of the drum) for the Leeton Band. Seems like he did many things.

Since Halloween is approaching, I figured I would mention one of Leeton's claims to fame: the famous glowing tombstone.
This one is not a postcard, but it is a little larger. I have found some more postcards of relatives, however.

What a great photo. Its great that you have so many things like this. Its fascinating to be able to look at your past. My family did not leave any record like this behind. You are fortunate to have them. Thanks for sharing them.

For all I know, he was a carpenter too.

Love that old picture of the boys in the band. The backdrop is pretty cool, too.

I have a photo of my grandfather holding a trumpet. I have no idea if he could play it or if it was just a prop. I suppose I'll never know.
