I hate worms. There's a real plague of tentworms this year. They fall on you when they go outside, their droppings cover surfaces, and some buildings are covered with them. They even get into houses sometime. The pictures show one on a tree trunk, and then the same tree trunk a few days later. This trunk had a few patches of worms like this.

Is there a soul alive who can love a tentworm? Although technically they are caterpillars, however, no one would say, "I hate caterpillars." Well, someone might, I guess. But when my first thought on seeing your headline was, "Worms? Earthworms? My little garden buddies? How can dmarks hate them?" Tentworms--yeah, I can understand that.
Eeeww. Can you use them for fising bait?
Left another comment for you.
Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew.
Ew.
I don't think I've ever seen those before. Laura's and I'll add another EW!
Ew, jeez, that last photo almost made me sick. I don't want worms dropping on me, that's gross and kind of scary.
They are horrible this year and have destroyed a lot of the trees near Sleeping Bear Dunes. Depending on where I go hiking I could hear them fall like rain onto the forest floor...ick!!! They were also really bad along M22. Driving between Empire and about the Platte River there were hundreds covering the road.
Good God. What ever trees you have must be very tasty! Yuck.
I loathe these freakers. In fact I killed a batch today.
GACK! The ones you have are a whole lot larger than the ones over here on my side of the Bay. GACK!
Eventually they'll go away, die off, be eaten, overpopulate themselves into oblivion. In the meantime, GACK!
