Wolverine

An excellent, detailed statue of Wolverine from the local comic book convention a couple of weeks ago.

He was about a foot and a half tall, as I recall. And custom-made by the artist, who was attending the convention and showing these statues at his booth.

Sometimes in the comics, and never in the movies, Wolverine is depicted as he is here, with blue and yellow spandex. Coincidentally, these are also the colors of the University of Michigan Wolverines sports teams.

Yes, I've seen 3 of the 4 movies with Wolverine in them. These were the X-Men movies. I thought they were all very good. I've not seen the movie entitled "Wolverine", and have not heard one good thing about it.

If you had to choose, which would you want/ Wolverine's mutant healing ability, or his claws that can slice through steel?

They go hand in hand. When his claws come out they slice through his skin and hurt. It is only his healing ability that makes his claws somewhat bearable. If you can only have one it would have to be the healing.

The Wolverine State? Him? Us? Wow.

I'd always go for healing rather than hurting. I'd be the lamest super hero ever. ha ha.

I'd pick healing. Especially if I could use it on others. Can I do that? Can Wolverine? Or did that happen with can't touch anyone girl... who's name refuses to come into my head... because of her power?

I don't know much about the super hero universe, but I'd definitely want the power to heal.

Healing would be cool.

I think the character who can't touch anyone is Rogue.

I liked the Wolverine movie okay, but I'm not a big fan of comic books and those who are probably don't like the movies cause of stuff that doesn't match the comic books.

I enjoyed Wolverine. It was better than the third X-Men movie.

Healing, definitely! But not just for myself.

Healing ability for me too. But the claws are awesome.

Wolverine was almost as good as the X-Men movies. My review:

I have not seen the one titled 'Wolverine' either but I want to.

What's wrong with his costume? Wolverine didn't wear it in the three movies.

Natalie: That's got to hurt!

PJ. Hmmm could be!

Churlita: That would not necessarily be lame: imagine all the heroic activities you could do if you could heal from any injury.

Ananda: Healing yourself, and then others, sounds like two powers.

"Can't Touch Anyone Girl" is a sensible name for the character that, as Laughing pointed out, is called Rogue. But now she touches vampires on "True Blood".

Laura: Also good if Superman punches you.

Laughing: As part of the comic con, there was a showing of X-men 2. There was commentary at the beginning from Wolverine creators. One of the reasons they hated the movie is because of how it handled the Deadpool character (who is from comics I've never read). That might be a good example of what you describe.

Mr. Manuel: I actually liked the third X-Men movie. I remember reading people who were saying we were supposed to hate it, long before it was ever released. They were people who hated director Bret Ratner and loved Bryan Singer. But Singer did the newest Superman movie, which I don't think is as good as X-Men 3.

Ken: Yes they are awesome. Who needs a can-opener?

Rob: Thanks!

Woman: Yes. you could have Wolverine in the kitchen to open your cans.

Chuang: After reading the positive recommendations in the comments, I want to see it too.

I'm not sure what you are asking about with his costume, but the one seen in the photo with this post is the "usual" one he has had in the comic books.
