Clydesdales and 9/11

The first beer I ever had was Budweiser, on my first day of college. I did not like it, and that's one of the reasons I've had hardly any beer since. But do like the commercials: the ones with the frogs, the arguing chameleons, and the ones with the clydesdales.

I've seen the Budweiser Clydesdales in person a couple of times. Here's one of the best commercials, aired I believe only one, during the Superbowl in 2002, not long after 9/11:

Wow, I'd never seen that...or don't remember seeing it. It is nice because it is such a quiet and respectful tribute.

Tears. As Laura said, quiet and respectful. I would only add dignified and moving.

That was nice. Very tasteful.

I believe that was the Patriots/Rams Super Bowl? If so, I don't remember much of it. My son was ill, and I missed most of the pregame and the game itself- neither of us had been sleeping well. My hometown Patriots where playing, so I really should have been riveted.

I do remember U2 playing during the pregame, with the names of victims scrolling behind them, and the American flag lining of his jacket. That was touching, too.
