Memorial Day
Here are a few Memorial Day related newspaper editorial cartoons (and a photo) which I recently received in a mailing list I belong to. This national holiday is about more than hot dogs on the grill.

Those are a great reminder... a lot of us do well with the visual. Actually, this made me quite emotional. I don't think I'll be able to forget the photo of the man in the wheelchair respectfully standing...
We're all guilty, dmarks. The most prominent thing on my mind today was the time and a half plus holiday pay that I was making. Thanks for the reminder that that isn't the meaty gist of it.
The man in the wheelchair knew what true patriotism is. Yeah, it brings tears to my eyes, as well.
btw, Obama went golfing after a quick stop of placing a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. And quickly made a beeline for the golf course...loser!
I think my house and two down the street were the only homes displaying the American flag.
God bless our soldiers.
I think this about says it all. A day to remember and give thanks and to appreciate what their service gives us.
