So I went and got pictures. I can't recall any gas wars in my area, but I did hear of one a while back where the two stations in the war had no limit, and eventually the price passed below zero, and the stations were paying people to take gasoline, until the cops stopped it.
Alas, I had just filled my gas tank before I heard of the gas war...

Oh no. We've done something similar. Here our market gives us money off of their gas price. Five cents off per gallon for every so much you spend. You have a month to earn nickles off... every time we get close to fifty cents off per gallon, the month changes or we just filled the tank!
I have not seen a gas war in years.
It's seven miles from my house to Northport, where I work and buy gas on a regular basis, grateful to have the station there. Usually don't even look at the price. What does it matter? I'm hardly going to undertake an 80-mile round trip for a "cheaper" price! Local gets my dollar--or three dollars and whatever.
Invest in some large gas cans for stocking up when gas is cheap.
Silly: I remember a grocery store named Red Owl that was good at undercutting everyone on gas. Well, Red Owl is not around any more. I wonder why?
PJ: Not a lot of gas stations in Leelanau. I like the one on the reservation, mostly because I pick up a copy of the tribal newspaper when there.
Beth: But doesn't it go bad? Thanks for coming by!
Walmart has low gas prices, but they're not always convenient for me. Usually I fill up at my neighborhood stations.
Be done with the gas wars and lower the cost of gas altogether. It's killing our bank accounts.
I would LOVE to get my next fill-up at $3.30 a gallon. In CT here it's up to $3.95, pushing $4.
Last time I saw a gas war was back in the 80s when we lived in Vegas. Gas was crazy cheap and good thing too, because we were super poor :-)
Wow. Gas is so cheap there.
It was. Back to $3.70 something now.
