I've been reading about people going into stores, especially bookstores, armed with a smart phone so they can peruse the shelves and look at the books, and if they find any they want to buy, they order the books or other items from an online leviathan.
Well, it works the other way too. For my largest purchase yet of the holiday season, I researched it online, looking at the reviews that are part of an online leviathan sales site.... and then I went and bought it locally.
Is everyone done with their Christmas shopping? I think I am done with mine.

Yes! All shopping is done and the gifts are all wrapped. I'm not in charge of making anything for Christmas diner, so all I have to do now is sit back and wait for the show.
Merry Christmas to you and yours dmarks!
One of my bookstore customers uses your online research/local shopping method, dmarks. I still have some groceries to buy. Merry Christmas!
We are definitely in a new age of technology.
God bless and Merry Christmas!!
Yes, I am done, thank God.
In years past I sat on my rump and ordered everything from Amazon.com, but this year I too shopped locally instead.
I'm getting a microscope for Christmas. Been retired going on
8 years and I miss the lab. Guilty
of an internet purchase; our little
town has no microscope stores...
Wow, technology has really changed the way in which people shop.
I like YOUR way because I don't want to wait! lol! Although I have on-line ordered, just not a lot this holiday season.
I did do a price comparison on-line before I went to Best Buy and Best Buy matched it! Yippee! That was awesome!
Merry Christmas, Dmarks!
I did a bit of both this year. The majority of my shopping was done locally, running around town. There were a few items that I ordered online...although a couple of those things were from small sellers too.
Merry Christmas Dmarks!
