It's Pie Day

Last week had Pooh Day. This week has National Pie Day. And it's today..

So eat some pie!
Where to get some? You can try pies from these "Grand" locations and other bakeries from around the US and the world. And please write to tell me who has the best pie.

• The Grand Traverse Pie Company, Traverse City, Michigan. Featured on "Good Morning, America". The "American Pie" movie called "American Wedding" took place in Grand Traverse County, but I don't think it had anything to do with these pies.
• Barbara's Cake and Cookie Boutique, Grand Prairie, Texas From a review: "I've fallen in love. .... I never knew that my heart's desire has been waiting in this one-time burger joint during bakery for 15 years, just waiting for me to find it. Only ten short miles from my doorstep. O cruel fate!"
• Our Place restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas "Fabulous home cooking. Great place for all ages. Warm and friendly. Super homemade pies. A must eat!"
• Mom's Pies and Goodies in Fresno, California
• Smiling Pelican Bakery, Maiden Rock, Wisconsin. I love the name 
• The Great American Pie Extravaganza in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Appears to be an annual pie event.
• "Four and Twenty Blackbirds" in New York City "Keep your fork. There's pie!"
• Big Ben's Pies in Singapore
• Susan's of Bolton Pie Shop in  Marmaris, Turkey: "apple crumble and custard for pudding is a must.".
• The Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. They make a "great apple pie in a bag"
• Arroyo Grand Bakery, Arroyo Grande, California. Also here on Facebook. "Did you know that all of our pies are homemade on the premises? All the way down to the pie shells, which are hand pressed..."
• Sweet Cakes Casper, Casper, Wyoming. Lots of cupcakes as well as pies.

Just don't go to the Key Lime Pie Salon in Atlanta, Georgia. They won't serve you pie.
