This very recent postcard is published by "Pocards.net" for the Chateau Fontaine vinyard and winery in Leelanau County, Michigan. Pocards appears to be defunct, because its web site is down, but you can read about them here in this blog post. I assume that this vineyard has this painting hanging in one of its buildings. I have no idea yet if other Leelanau County businesses have produced postcards of the dogs associated with the business.

I'm at Brew North in Northport this morning, and there is a Po Card display on the wall. (It has that gun dog card in it, too.) The barrista says Po Cards is still going but with a new guy in charge. Business sold or what? Don't know but am glad the cards are still around.
The winery phenom has really grown.
They are ubiquitous ..is there a state without
any? Same thing for microbreweries.
Where I grew up we had several wonderful small wineries here and there. You could sample wine and buy other products made from their wines (wine marbled cheeses, honey, vinegars, etc.) They often had picnic tables outside so that you could make a lunch to take along and enjoy in the vineyards. Some even sold deli sandwiches.
Nice homey family style places. You were not over dressed in cut offs and flip flops. A happy way to spend an afternoon.
Now days the wineries all seem to be so foo-foo. And you know what that means... everything has a much higher price tag. Not to mention that if you want to take the tour, you should dress up a bit. Its too bad. I liked the old fashioned mom and pop style wineries.
That is some dog post card. I like it.
That's very interesting. I am not sure what to think, Dmarks?
PJ: The PoCards rack I found was almost empty.
Silly: Were you far from the NAPA Valley wine country?
BB: I remember that movie. Was it the Muppet Movie? Where Steve Martin mocked the fine wines of Idaho.
Leticia: Think of dogs with guns. Joining the NCRA.
