Sleestak Sunday ca. 1860

Due the storm, no internet phone or cable. Like 1860 or maybe even the Land of the Lost. But I do have my smart phone, and can do just a little. So make sure to visit the recent Gothridge Manor post (seen in my blog roll links to the right.) Tim has a good one there on Crime and Punissssssssssshment. I hope to get back soon and answer the comments to my recent posts.

Love the picture. Even the top half of a sleestak makes the day better than none.

Wow that sleestak reminds me of one of those big eyed paintings that were horribly popular in the 60s. What big eyes you have sleestak!

I do hope the storm passes you quickly and safely.

The EYES most assuredly have it (covered).

Wonder if they sell sunglasses in the right size.

Are Sleestak eyes the window of the Sleestak soul? I wonder.

Primitive as can be, eh? I am imagining the pony express traveling with bags filled with illustrations of sleestaks...

I asked my Civil War veterans and most of 'em said they'd never seen anything like that. There was this one guy, though, who said he had a Sergeant who looked at him in just that way.

Gerry: Well, there was an episode of 'Land of the Lost' about a civil war guy. He said that sleestak tasted like lobster.

Yet again, he was high on mushroom juice, so who knows if he was to be believed.

Sleestaks were so cool!! I loved them.

Glad you are safe and sound. We were a bit worried about the storms, but by God's Grace and mercy, it bypassed us completely. Just a lot of strong winds, which unfortunately, caused a tree branch to crack the windshield of our truck. I believe they are called, "Widow Makers."
